Campus@Sea joins up with Community of Practice Noordzee
The Hague, 20 December 2021
Campus@Sea has joined up with the Community of Practice North Sea. The Community of Practice (CoP) North Sea is a network of entrepreneurs, research institutes, social organisations and governments & Top Sectors. The CoP wants to strengthen a balance between energy, nature and food on the North Sea and promote a Sustainable Blue Economy.
Campus@Sea is convinced that multi use of the North Sea is vital for achieving a truly sustainable blue economy.
Through the test sites in the port of Scheveningen and on the North Sea, Campus@Sea offers an inspiring and mission-driven learning, working and innovation environment. Campus@Sea provides a meeting place for impact makers with innovative ideas and accommodation for maritime businesses wanting to learn and innovate. Through meetings, experiments and demonstrations, innovations relating to the themes of nature, energy, food and sport are developed for use at sea and in the port.
Linked to innovation, dialogue is vitally important. For this dialogue, facilitating a platform like the Community of Practice North Sea is essential. In 2022, the Community of Practice will therefore start using the impressive space of Campus@Sea on the Hellingweg in the Port of Scheveningen.
This video by the Community of Practice clearly explains multi use based on the three major transitions being implemented with respect to energy, food and nature.
